Hi, I'm Mel, a certified dog groomer based right here in Two Rocks, WA, and the proud owner of Mel's Dog Grooming.

What started as a passion for animals has grown into a home-based salon where every dog is treated like family. I believe grooming should be a calm, positive experience for your pup, not a stressful one. That's why I keep my salon small, personal, and focused on one dog at a time, giving each pet my full attention from start to finish.

Whether it's your dog's very first groom or their regular pamper session, you can trust that they're in safe, caring hands. I take the time to understand each dog's needs, temperament, and coat type to deliver the best result every visit.

How long does a groom take?

It depends on your dog's breed, size, and coat condition. A full groom typically takes between 1.5 to 3 hours. We'll give you a more accurate time estimate when you book.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes, we recommend booking ahead as spots fill up quickly. You can book online or get in touch with Mel directly to check availability.

My dog is nervous around grooming, is that okay?

Absolutely. Mel's is a calm, home-based salon where your dog gets one-on-one attention the entire time. We work at your dog's pace to make the experience as stress-free as possible.

What should I do to prepare my dog before their appointment?

We recommend giving your dog a short walk beforehand to help them relax. Please also make sure they have had a chance to go to the toilet before arriving. Avoid feeding a large meal right before the appointment.

What breeds do you groom?

We groom all breeds and sizes, from small toy breeds to large dogs. If you have a specific breed or coat type and want to check, feel free to reach out and we'll be happy to help.
